EOI FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyses & Reporting: Affirmative Action Plan and Florida Equity Report in addition to weekly transactional reports
  • Complaint Resolution: Mediation, facilitation and investigation for students, faculty, staff, visitors and vendors
  • Consultation: To members of the University community regarding steps and measures to handle needs and functions under the auspices of EOI Diversity & Inclusion: Responsibility to provide leadership and guidance for a vibrant, authentic and robust diversity and inclusion presence throughout UNF for employment, recruitment, procurement and other educational programs, services and activities Educational Outreach & Training: Employment-related equity, access, Title IX compliance, diversity/inclusion and compliance vendors
  • EEO Reviews & Impact Statements: New degree programs, termination of degrees and salary equity matters
  • Policy Regulation & Procedures: Monitoring implementations evaluating relevancy and recommending new or updates for compliance and diversity
  • Reorganization/Restructuring: Upon request to ensure the nonexistence of unintentional disparity or discrimination
  • Search & Screen Process Engagement: From training to implementation of faculty and administrative and professional (A&P) recruitment processes

TITLE IX COMMITTEE

The UNF Title IX Committee serves as an advisory body to the president on issues related to gender equity for admissions, employment, compensation, residence life/housing, intercollegiate athletics and recreational club sports programs as examples. The Committee’s objectives are to coordinate the University's efforts to comply with and carry out its responsibilities under Title IX and its implementing regulations, including the investigation of Title IX complaints and sexual misconduct. The Committee also identifies the steps and resources in the reporting process and examines the relationship of/between Title IX to other related laws.
