CHM 4627: Solid State Chemistry
Course Description for Solid State Chemistry
Solid State Chemistry
Prerequisites: CHM 3610, CHM 4410C
The Solid State Chemistry course is an advanced course that introduces concepts relating to crystalline structures, bonding forces, superconductivity, electrochemical, magnetic, optical, and conductive properties that underlie extended solids. The lecture course provides experimental evidence and theoretical interpretations of the structure and properties of solid-state inorganic compounds. A range of synthetic and physical techniques to prepare and characterize solids is described.
