Students, faculty and staff are welcome and encouraged to contact the Women's Center for information and refeerals on counseling and medical services, childcard, financial assistance, scholarships and other women's issues. The Center provides referals for both on and off-campus resources.

 
     
     
  Victim Advocacy Program  
 

 

 
 

Campus victims of actual and/or threatened violence can find hlep 24 hours a day through the Women's Center's Victim Advocacy Program. Victim Advocates are certified Victim Services Practitioners, supported by trained volunteers, who assist and support persons who have experienced harassment, rape, relationship violence, stalking, hate crimes or other crimes.

Advocates can provide immediate crisis intervention, guidance on legal options and rights, and a safe, confidential space for a victim to talk about her or his experiences.

The Bette Soldwedel Gender Research Center acknowledges that while a greater progress has been made, gender inequity still continues. The BSGRC offers encouragement and support to women of the UNF community who are engaged in any kind of academic research and also extends its support to women and men who study gender issues.

    Fridays, 2-4 pm in the Women's Center
