Mansenie Joseph | Graduated August 2017
The following is an excerpt from the Fall 2017 UNF Journal by Isabel Pease.
For Mansenie Joseph, there’s nothing like traveling to a new place. “There is a rush when you step off the airplane in another country,” Joseph said. “I love the excitement.” The Haitian-born Osprey knows the feeling well having experienced 16 countries over the past two years while studying abroad in France.
Joseph said one of the greatest benefits of studying overseas was working with so many people from different cultures and backgrounds. “KEDGE has students from all over the world,” she said. “I think I have a good handle on how to communicate and work with all kinds of people now.”
During her internship, Joseph worked in logistics for a Parisian company that produces containers for perfumes and luxury brands. She enjoyed supply chain management and is considering a career in logistics once she receives her MBA. When the time comes for Joseph to apply for jobs, one thing is certain. Her global education will definitely be a plus. Read more of Mansenie's story.

Birthplace: My city of birth is Lomé, Togo, whereby my nationalities are American and Togolese. My hometown is Jacksonville, Florida.
Internship: Secure Transactions
Industry Analyst and Editor, Marseilles, France
Thesis: "Sustainability in
Sports" - a market research and analysis of the ecological sustainability
efforts of major and global sport entities
Experience: My fondest memory of the UNF/KEDGE program was attending the Viva Technology conference, an international technology and startup showcase/conference held in Paris. Participating in the conference as a press from my internship, my colleague and I interviewed numerous European and international startups concerning their products and business operations.
What's Next: My biggest takeaway from the program is a clearer vision of my professional career, which is to work in the technology and healthcare industry. Having gained a post-graduate position in the Graduate Management Trainee program with the HCI group, a healthcare IT multinational corporation based in Jacksonville, Florida, my career plan is to be a leader in the healthcare IT industry’s innovations that we’ll witness in the upcoming years.

Studying at KEDGE Business School, Marseille Campus (formerly Euromed Management) means an experience in an enriching multilingual and multicultural environment. BEM and Euromed Management have merged to create a new player in the world of higher education: KEDGE Business School. With KEDGE, the academic community, professionals and students aim to explore new horizons and assist organizations and territories.
The school is located in the heart of the Marseille Luminy scientific park, in an area alongside the Mediterranean Sea. KEDGE offers excellent courses for undergraduate students in either French or English. While all courses in the KEDGE/UNF Double Degree Program are offered in English, students would ideally be able to take some business courses taught in French during their two years at KEDGE.
KEDGE boasts that Marseille is "the new Mediterranean resort, the gateway to Provence." Located between the mouth of the Rhone River and the Mediterranean Sea, Marseille is France's third largest city. With an excellent public transportation system, you can easily navigate and travel in the city and explore the rest of Europe. In the heart of Marseille is a picturesque harbor filled with restaurants and a bustling nightlife. Marseille is an ancient Phoenician city with over 26 centuries of history filled with archeological richness evident in the center of town. Don't forget to visit the Vieux Port, Notre-Dame de la Guarde and Château while in Marseille!
