Department of Public Health

Through outstanding teaching, scholarship and service, the mission of the Department of Public Health is to develop competent, caring health professionals who positively impact the individuals and communities they serve. The Department of Public Health includes programs in Public Health and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, offering both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Each program has specific program competencies based on national accrediting bodies and professional organizations. The programs in this department prepare students to work in public or private healthcare settings. These programs also enhance the careers of students who currently work in Public Health or Mental Health Counseling positions. Field experience and study abroad opportunities are available to all Public Health students.
