SPuDS - Structure Prediction Diagnostic Software
(1.) Download SPuDS
[Windows Vista/7/8/10)]. Installation instructions. Download, unzip, and execute the SPuDS-setup.exe file. If you receive an error message that 'Windows Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting.', click more info, then Run anyway. Choose the default "C:\Program Files (x86)\SPuDS\" or a directory of your choice. It may be necessary to have administrator rights to install SPuDS. Restart the PC if SPuDS crashes on first use.

(2.) Windows 10/8.1 users. The output files may not be written unless SPuDS is executed as an administrator. Right click on spuds.exe and choose "Run as administrator".

(4.) Windows 7 users. A previous Windows update in appears to have broken the functionality of the SPuDS executable for some users. A workaround is to right-click on the SPuDS icon, select the Compatibility tab, then click the check box for 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' and select 'Windows XP (Service Pack 3)' from the drop-down box. Click OK and start SPuDS. If this does not work, please e-mail screen captures and details about the observed error.
