Change a degree-major of an existing program
MS in Civil Engineering – Civil Engineering Major


Summary of the Changes:

A new elective course is added to equip graduate students with knowledge needed to execute and manage engineering and construction contracts. This course has been well received by the NAVFAC (Navy Facility Engineering Command) cohort enrolled in the Civil Engineering MS program and other MS students. We expect to offer it on bi-annual basis.

Course Description:

This course is designed to provide the student with a basic understanding of the American Legal System and the engineer's relations with the law, the public, and the ethics of the profession. The course will include contracts, property rights, intellectual property, torts, and administrative law as they relate to the Engineering and Construction professions.
