Course Description:

This course will focus on mathematical methods for applications to engineering problems at a graduate level. It will include: mathematical concepts, geometry of patterns and their quantification, Eigen functions, probabilities, statistics of extremes, multidimensional spectral forms, mathematics of waves, stable and unstable systems, Monte Carlo methods, an introduction to new methods for understanding physical system, and propagation problems in discrete systems.
