Mission and Charge
The mission of the Undergraduate Studies Council is to advance the goals of the university as they pertain to excellence in undergraduate education, undergraduate student learning, and undergraduate student development and academic services.
The Undergraduate Studies Council is responsible for recommending to the President, Provost, Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Studies, and the Faculty Association (and its relevant committees) on matters relating to undergraduate education, undergraduate programs, and the undergraduate academic experience. The Council shall advise the President, Provost, and Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Studies on the development of new, and revision of existing, undergraduate programs and academic services.
The Undergraduate Studies Council will be established as a university committee. Voting members will be elected through the Faculty Association serving staggered three year terms. There will be one faculty representative from each of the following colleges: Coggin College of Business, Brooks College of Health, College of Education and Human Services, and the College of Computing, Engineering and Construction. There will be two faculty representatives from the College of Arts and Sciences.
The council will be chaired by the Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Studies
