The Office of Undergraduate Research plans and hosts several conferences a year on campus. Additionally, the OUR arranges for students to attend conferences that are hosted off campus.
The Showcase of Osprey Advancements in Research and Scholarship (SOARS) is a universitywide conference that allows undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and staff to present their research or creative projects. SOARS is a welcoming environment for undergraduates to practice their presentation skills in front of their peers and faculty. SOARS is interdisciplinary, so all students are welcome to present. The conference consists of several poster sessions for undergraduate and graduate students.
All university members and community members are welcome to attend SOARS. If you are presenting or are a faculty, staff, or administrator from UNF, then we welcome you to join us for lunch during the event. For those not presenting, refreshments will be available. If you are planning to attend but not present, then you do not have to register.

The Florida Undergraduate Research Conference (FURC) is one of the nation's largest multi-disciplinary research conferences. It is an annual event open to all undergraduate researchers in the state of Florida to present their research in a poster forum. Every year the conference will be hosted at a different college or university in the state at the end of February. In addition to research presentations, there are also exhibitors from graduate programs and other opportunities targeted for students involved in undergraduate research.
FURC 2019 will be hosted by the University of North Florida. Learn more about FURC.
The International Research Symposium is an event open to all undergraduates, faculty, and staff. Students will present their research, creative projects, or study abroad reflections using a poster format. There is no cost to attend.
