Item 1 Call to Order

Chair Taylor called the workshop to order at 8:40 a.m.

Item 2  Approval of Minutes (January 7, 2014)

Chair Taylor asked for approval of the minutes from January 17, 2014. A MOTION was offered and seconded. The minutes were approved as presented.

Item 3 Performance-Based Funding

Chair Greene asked President Delaney to introduce this conversation.

President Delaney spoke about the Board of Governors (BOG) performance funding model. He noted that UNF ranked well compared to national peers. He clarified that, when measured by the BOG’s model, there were challenges with students moving from full-time to part-time. And, although UNF’s access rate is high, Pell recipients require intensive and expensive support to graduate.

President Delaney continued to discuss possible consequences with the BOG’s model. He noted that, although reporting was inconsistent throughout the SUS, UNF was not likely to rank at the bottom.

Chair Greene asked for commentary from trustees. And, after a thorough discussion, he adjourned the workshop at 9:25 a.m.
