Emergency, After-Hours, and Weekend Care Options
Nurse Advice Line 904-620-2900
- Students have access to a nurse triage phone line when the
clinic is closed, where medical concerns related to illness or injury can be
discussed.
- Please be aware that the after-hours nurses do not
have access to the Student Health Services (SHS) clinic appointment schedule or
your health records.
- If you need to cancel/schedule an appointment, get lab
results, or change/refill a prescription, we ask that you call while the clinic
is open (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm) to speak to a member of our Student Health
Services staff.
- If you need to speak to a nurse for medical guidance while
the clinic is closed, please call (904) 620-2900 and follow the prompts.
Non-emergency After-Hours Care
If you have an emergency, please call 911 and immediately report your problem.
If you just need healthcare that is not an immediate emergency, here is information on the top 14 urgent care centers in the USA: Top Urgent Care Centers. Please also remember that most insurance companies now offer after-hours nurse triage advice and/or telemedicine. Please check your insurance card for the appropriate way to get access to these services.
