It's considered to be the search for meaning and purpose in human existence, leading one to strive for a state of harmony with oneself and others while working to balance inner needs with the rest of the world.

At UNF, the Interfaith Center that helps to engage the campus around religious pluralism, support the religious and non-religious identities of students, and provide distinctive programs and services for students to voice values, engage with others, act together, and lead others to do likewise. The Center also offers many different events to involve the students and campus such as Interfaith Week,i-Dinner,Talk Better Together,Coffee and Conversation and Campus 4 Community

The Interfaith Center's Meditation and Prayer room is one of UNF's best kept secrets. It is open daily for meditation and prayer and features a "Prayer & Intention Shawl" from the Native American Tradition.
