Free Fitness Orientations

“Allow us to educate and empower you.  Orientations are a way for you to familiarize yourself with the gym in a way that makes it less intimidating. Here are our five orientation options that guide you through each part of the Dottie Dorion Fitness Center at the Student Wellness Complex.”

Novice Workout: Learn the basics.   

In about an hour we will teach you how to work out safely and efficiently in the cozy corner. You will learn how to properly warm up, stretch, and use our 10-piece Nautilus One weight machine circuit. 

Bodyweight Boot Camp: Workout Anywhere.  

We will spend about 45 minutes teaching you 10 or more basic bodyweight exercises that you can do anywhere with minimal equipment. These basic exercises can be modified to meet all fitness levels.   

Playground Training: Learn timed functional training circuits.  

In only 45 minutes we will teach you a timed circuit of 10 functional training exercises utilizing the Synergy 360 (Playground). 

Crossprey Fit: Learn functional high intensity training.  

We will spend about 45 minutes teaching you how to incorporate high intensity rep training into your daily workout routine. Additionally, we will teach you about 10 functional training exercises that you can easily use with this type of training. 

Free Weight Workout: Take your training to the next level.  

In one or two 60 minute sessions we will create a custom workout for you using a combination of free-weights, plate loaded machines, functional exercises, and machines. 

  • Learn new exercises, understand programming, and master form for: 
    • Upper body
    • Lower body

*Recommended for individuals who have been on a consistent progressive workout for at least 6 months.
