We all hashtag Swoop Together - with UNF logo

Even though we are not on campus, the Osprey community continues to thrive - together. Students and faculty find creative ways every day to share and learn, our research continues, alumni are in the community doing great things and members of our extended Osprey family have swooped in to help students in need. It is indeed an unusual time, but our hearts remain together. Even when we're apart, we all #SWOOPTogether!

UNF and American Heart Association donate blood pressure cuffs to seniors

AHA UNF Students
In collaboration with Florida Blue, Elder Source, and Mayo Clinic, the UNF Department of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Meals on Wings program has teamed up with the American Heart Association to deliver blood pressure cuffs and critical heart-health information, along with regular meal deliveries, to the senior population living in one of the most under-resourced communities in Jacksonville. During the current COVID-19 pandemic, these tools will help monitor the health and wellbeing of elderly patients that are more at-risk for contracting the virus.

Thanks to the Brooks College of Health for taking care of the hearts and stomachs of our elders!
