The University of North Florida has been recognized by collegechoice.net, a leading authority on college rankings and resources, as having one of the nation's top 25 "Most Affordable Online Child Development Degrees."
"Our online Early Childhood Development degree helps students who seek a flexible and tailored delivery model," said Dr. Diane Yendol-Hoppey, dean of UNF's College of Education and Human Services. "Our faculty have designed the program with an important community-based learning component, taking into account that the student could be located anywhere in the world while enrolled. And like the other degree programs we offer, we're proud to offer academic excellence at a great value."
UNF's Department of Childhood Education, Literacy, and TESOL, located in the College of Education and Human Services, offers globally-recognized programs that prepare innovative, scholarly and culturally-responsive educators who impact and inspire diverse learning communities worldwide. Graduates are well equipped for jobs in the early childhood sector, including Head Start, childcare directors, early learning coaches, early childhood non-profits and other agencies.
UNF was recently recognized for being among the top universities in the country when it comes to value, landing on Forbes "Best Value College" list in April as well as Kiplinger's Personal Finance "Best College Value" list last December.
College Choice considers a multitude of factors for the Most Affordable list including institutional excellence, student satisfaction and return on investment. Institutional excellence reviews graduation rates, student-to-faculty ratios and endowment sizes. Student satisfaction measures how satisfied current and former students feel about the services and programs. Return on investment looks at the financial benefits students are likely to receive from the school's education, weighed against the costs of attendance.
UNF, a nationally ranked university located on an environmentally beautiful campus, offers students who are dedicated to enriching the lives of others the opportunity to build their own futures through a well-rounded education.
