The University of North Florida is ranked among the nation’s top universities in The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings 2018, a ranking of over a 1,000 U.S. colleges and universities that puts student success and learning at its heart.

The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings is drawn from 15 performance indicators that have been selected in order to answer the questions that matter most when choosing a university. The performance indicators range from student interaction and engagement to reputation and graduate salary.

“Rankings like this one recognizes the University’s commitment to our students and the excellence of our faculty and staff,” said UNF President John Delaney.

Data sources include the Times Higher Education U.S. Student Survey of 100,000 current U.S. students and the Times Higher Education Academic Reputation Survey of 10,000 scholars, along with public data on areas including completion rates and graduate employment. Here’s a list of the full rankings.

Unlike traditional competitors, the WSJ/THE College Rankings data team has built these rankings around a huge survey of over 200,000 college students, which provides unique insights into the impacts of teaching, learning and student life on campus.

“Being ranked in The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings is a significant achievement, as these are the rankings that get beneath surface metrics to understand the real, current and lifelong impact of higher education on students’ lives,” said Phil Baty, editorial director, global rankings, WSJ/THE College Rankings.

This latest recognition comes on the heels of UNF receiving several other national designations, including 2018 “Best in the Southeast” by Princeton Review, 2018 “Best Regional” University by U.S. News & World Report, 2018 “Best Colleges” by College Factual and the 2017 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award from Insight into Diversity magazine, to name a few.

The Wall Street Journal is the preeminent source of global business and financial news, with the goal of providing context and insight that helps parents and prospective students make what it often a life-defining decision. Times Higher Education is a global higher education data and analysis business.

UNF, a nationally ranked university located on an environmentally beautiful campus, offers students who are dedicated to enriching the lives of others the opportunity to build their own futures through a well-rounded education.
