University of North Florida Offers Business Women a ‘Step Up’

The University of North Florida Women in Business Society will host its fifth annual forum, “Step Up to the Challenge: Unleash Your Inner Potential,” which will take place 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Mar. 7, in the Coggin College of Business, Building 42, Winn-Dixie Lobby, on campus.
The forum includes a lunch keynote address, “Love 101,” presented by Dr. Isabell Springer, Driver’s Ed for Love founder. Driver’s Ed for Love is a Gainesville –based, relationship-education organization, and was founded by Springer to empower individuals to choose wisely as they travel the highway of love.
Break-out sessions such as “Assertiveness Training for Women: Channeling Your Inner Business Diva,” “Women in Leadership: Times of Challenge and Reinvention” and “Step up to the Challenge: Make a Difference as a Social Entrepreneur,” designed to enhance personal, academic and professional lives of women in the business world will be offered. The day wraps up with a networking social for students as well as professionals to mix and mingle.

The Women in Business Society, founded in 2009, is a student organization based in the Coggin College of Business and dedicated to supporting women in their efforts to pursue higher levels of educational and professional achievement.
