For the 12th consecutive year, the University of North Florida is ranked in the 2021 ‘Best in the Southeast’ list by The Princeton Review.
Only 142 colleges and universities in 12 Southeastern states made the “Best in the Southeast” list and is part of the company’s feature, “2021 Best Colleges: Region by Region.”
“This recognition affirms the prestigious reputation of our University to deliver a high quality academic experience and produce talented, highly skilled graduates to serve our regional workforce and beyond,” said UNF President David Szymanski.
The Princeton Review selected its list based on data collected from its survey of administrators at several hundred colleges in each region, as well as staff visits to schools and the perspectives of college counselors and advisors whose opinions the company solicits.
Students were also surveyed by The Princeton Review and shared that at UNF, “students get an excellent education, for a terrifically low tuition, by knowledgeable and caring instructors.” Professors are described as “knowledgeable” with a “working knowledge of real business practices.” “What they teach is applicable to the real world,” so students feel prepared “for opportunities in the professional world.”
Students further stated that the UNF has “all the aspects of a huge state college with a much more laid-back feel,” “everyone is very friendly, and there are many organizations to be a part of.” The “beautiful” campus is largely conducive to outdoor activities, as it is “situated on 1300 acres” with “nature trails great for hiking, mountain biking, or trail running” and “lakes where students can rent canoes and paddle around.”
Many students raved about the “personal experience” at UNF, where “small size and scholarship offers make me feel like I really matter,” and “you’re not a number, you’re a person.”
For more than 35 years, The Princeton Review has provided personalized, innovative, best-in-class private tutoring, test prep, and admission products and services to help students achieve their academic goals.
