UNF named a Top 100 Best for Veterans School

The University of North Florida has been named one of the best schools in the nation for veterans and recognized for offering high-quality and affordable educational experiences military-affiliated students.
According to College Factual’s recent rankings, UNF ranked No. 53 out of over 2,100 schools analyzed, putting the University in the top 5% of the country for serving veteran and active-duty military students. The University improved its ranking position by 67 slots over last year’s position.
In addition, UNF is ranked No. 6 in the Best Colleges for Veterans in Florida ranking. Out of 88 colleges in the state that offer four-year degrees, UNF is in the top 10% for serving Florida veterans.
For the rankings, the best colleges for veterans were determined using objective data emphasizing quality and affordable education for both veterans and active-duty military. The high-ranked colleges excel at meeting the unique needs of military-affiliated students.
Using the post-9/11 GI Bill, UNF’s veteran population has grown an average of 6% per year and is now comprised of more than 1,325 veterans or military-affiliated students, representing approximately 8% of the University’s student body.
UNF’s Military and Veterans Resource Center is committed to ensuring that military-affiliated students successfully transition from the military environment to campus life to graduation and beyond. The MVRC also serves as a resource to veteran employees, providing guidance and referrals to assist with integration into the Osprey community.
