UNF’s MSW program fosters a commitment to creating social change and provides an educational experience founded on critical thinking, research, service and social justice. The program prepares professional advanced generalist social workers for multi-method clinical and administrative practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities.

There is a growing need for qualified social workers in the Northeast Florida and the surrounding community that UNF MSW graduates can fulfill.

As dictated by the CSWE’s Educational Policy & Accreditation Standards, all UNF MSW students must demonstrate social work competencies, including demonstrating ethical and professional behavior, engaging diversity and difference in practice, advancing human rights and social, economic, and environmental justice, and other core competencies.

CSWE’s Commission on Accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation as the sole accrediting agency for social work education in the United States and its territories.
