Why did you decide to attend the University of North Florida?
I decided to attend the University of North Florida because of the small class sizes offered, the small Greek Life community and our beautiful campus and nature trails.
When you’re looking to de-stress and relax a bit, where do you go on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is the bamboo garden near Peace Plaza. I enjoy sitting on a bench and reading a book in the middle of the garden.
Who is your favorite professor? Do you have a favorite class?
My favorite professor is Professor Josh Gellers because he has helped me achieve my goals since I was a freshman. My favorite class is hard to decide on, but if I had to choose, it would have to be American Presidency.
If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?
I would want to be a part of the Women’s Suffrage Movements in the United Kingdom. These movements made an impact across the western world. The actions were lobbying efforts, protests and civil disobedience all in one tactic. I would have liked to witness these movements and meet the women on whose shoulders I now stand.
Do you have any advice for high school students?
Do not be afraid to walk into a room of strangers and participate in an event you found on campus. If you want to have a college career, then you need to break through your fear of people judging you. Try new things and meet new people because you never know what opportunities lie ahead of you.
