We encourage all new transfer Ospreys to view the Online Orientation in addition to attending Transfer Orientation, but both are optional. You can also self-enroll in the Next Steps Guide for Transfer Students course in Canvas for additional access to resources and how-to guides! Self-enroll here: Self Enroll.

Academic Advising
It is essential for your success as a UNF student that you meet with your academic advisor prior to registering for your classes. Most academic advising offices have walk-in hours; however, we recommend making an appointment. Please plan to meet with your Academic Advisor before attending Transfer Orientation.

Make Your Academic Advising Appointment
At UNF each college has a specialized Academic Advising office, with professional staff and faculty advisors that are specialist in your major. Please find the contact information for your college's office on the Academic Advising website.
Transferring to UNF with fewer than 30 credit hours? You'll need to begin your academic advising process with the First-Year Advising office.

Three Ways to Contact Your Advisor
- Click the "Advising" tile in MyWings
- Call the UGS front desk at 904-620-1012
- Scan the QR code on the infographic

Final "TO DO" items:
myWings
MyWings is UNF's web portal, providing a single point of entry to web-based services such as UNF e-mail, Canvas, Student Update, as well as Student Self Service functions. Student Self Service gives you access to Registration, Student Records, and Financial Aid. With myWings you have the power to manage many aspects of your Student account.
The Parent Portal provides students the opportunity to release important information to their parents; and it provides parents a secure location where they can see details about their student's account.
UNF Email and the UNF Communication System
Email is our primary form of communication. You should check your UNF email regularly for important information and updates. If you forward your UNF email you may not receive important announcements and communications.
The communications sent to you will be archived and made accessible through myWings. You may retrieve these archived emails, letters, and attachments by following the steps below.
STEPS: Login to myWings > select the Student Records tile > choose Personal Information > select My UNF Communications.
Orientation Resources
At orientation you received a wealth of information from our UNF student resources. Below is a list of links to the resources you learned about and for a more in-depth review of the information we covered at orientation, please check out the New Student Orientation course in Canvas.
