Math Placement Information

Your math placement at UNF is based on many aspects of your math knowledge including: your intended major, dual enrollment course work, accelerated mechanisms and, most importantly, your score on the UNF Math Placement Test. At your scheduled new student orientation, you will meet with your Academic Advisor to discuss these and many other factors that will help you select a math course that best supports your academic goals.

Students will complete the math placement test prior to their orientation session, and can do so from home via remote proctoring. Taking the math placement exam before attending orientation allows you to have more time to focus on other important preparations for your first semester, and will, in most cases, allow you to leave earlier on the second day of orientation.

Students who have registered for New Student Orientation will have access to the Math Placement Test course in Canvas located in myWings (note, it may take up to 24 hours after you have registered for the course to show in Canvas). Scores will automatically report to UNF on behalf of the student. Please visit the Next Steps Guide for New Students course in Canvas for test exemption requirements.
