First Year Orientation Details

Prepare for takeoff! Find all the resources you'll need below to prepare for your trip to campus for orientation.

 

As a reminder, make sure you've completed the necessary items on your First Year New Student Checklist, and reach out to the New Student Orientation office if you have questions. We can't wait to meet you!

First Year Orientation Schedule

It is mandatory that freshman students attend their scheduled New Student Orientation session in its entirety. Below is our tentative Orientation schedule.

Spring 2021 First-Year Orientation

  • Friday, December 4, 2020 - Virtual Programming 
  • Wednesday, December 9, 2020 - Virtual Programming

 

All Spring 2021 Orientation Programming will take place in a live virtual setting. Registration is required to confirm to UNF and registration is completed in myWings. A confirmation will be sent to you after you register and you'll receive the Zoom link to access the live Virtual Orientation one week prior to your session. 

Summer and Fall 2021 First-Year Orientation

Coming Soon! Registration for Summer/Fall 2021 admitted Ospreys will open at the end of October. Monitor your email for notifications and updates.

First Year Orientation Packing List

Get ready for your overnight stay at New Student Orientation! Be sure to grab the following items before swooping into campus.

  • Government-issued photo ID (required in order to pick up your University ID)
  • Clothing for two days
  • Pillow
  • Light blanket (We provide sheets, but the rooms get a little chilly.)
  • Toiletries
  • Towel
  • Any medication you need
  • Alarm clock
  • Cell phone charger (especially if your phone is your alarm)
  • An umbrella or raincoat (Unexpected rainstorms happen in Florida.)
  • Bathing suit (The Fountains Residence Hall, where you'll be staying, has a pool and lazy river for you to enjoy in the evening.)
