Community Building & Education

The OneJax team promotes inclusion within the community in various ways, from hosting panel discussions and community forums on timely topics, to leading diversity workshops for corporate supporters. Wherever we are, and whomever we are serving, we aim to draw insight and input from a broad range of religious, cultural and community leaders. Our mission is always to engage our audience and empower each individual to take responsibility for his or her own role in the broader dialogue of acceptance that takes place every day in our city.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Workshops

Sessions designed for participants to learn more about who they are using the dimensions of diversity and identity as a framework, which instructs us to see other people similarly.
DEIB workshops can be designed to discuss a range of topics – depending on identified needs – using a variety of strategies that respect adult learners in an engaging, thoughtful, and safe manner.

Community Suppers

In partnership with the JAX Chamber, small group suppers hosted by community civic leaders at local restaurants (or virtually) around Jacksonville in order to bring diverse people together to break bread and hear different perspectives.

Civil Discourse

Moderated panel discussions on issues which challenge deeply-held beliefs about controversial topics.

Community Conversations

Previously known as Inclusion Series and then Community Desserts, forums for dialogue about strategies ensuring everyone in our diverse community is heard and acknowledged, with topical issues to lead conversation among guests.

Project Breakthrough

Project Breakthrough: "Changing the Story of Race in Jacksonville" seeks to raise awareness about the implications of structural racism in diverse populations and introduce a common framework for understanding the causes of racial disparities.
