Digital Projects and Preservation is a part of the Technical Services Division of the UNF Library. The Division also includes Acquisitions/Serials/E-Resources and Discovery Enhancement.
The mission of the Digital Projects and Preservation Department is to foster both physical preservation and the building of online collections of enduring value for the university community and beyond by identifying, digitizing, and preserving information resources of scholarly, educational, and civic interest. The department is responsible for managing the institutional repository, the UNF Digital Commons. We digitize and accept born-digital items for inclusion in the repository. We accept deposits of electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs) from graduate students and provide access to scholarly works created by UNF faculty. The Department provides book repair, enclosures, and other preservation services for the library's collections.
The Department is responsible for all book repair and preservation of the collections. We process new materials for the shelves once they are cataloged.
