LGBTQ Center Scholarships

Scholarship Criteria Student Responsibility Award
Building Bridges, Creating Community Full-Time
 
  • Be accepted to UNF as an undergraduate student
  • Earn a minimum UNF cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Demonstrate financial need
 
  • Enrolled for a minimum 12 credit hours
  • Earn a minimum of 24 credits by the end of each academic year
  • Preference will be given to students involved with UNF Pride Club, the UNF LGBTQ Center, or the LGBTQ+ community
 
$1,000 awarded in two installments ($500 Fall/ $500 Spring)
Building Bridges, Creating Community Part-Time
  • Be accepted to UNF as an undergraduate student
  • Earn a minimum UNF cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Complete and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Demonstrate financial need
 
  • Enrolled for a minimum 6 credit hours
  • Earn a minimum of 12 credits by the end of each academic year
  • Preference will be given to students involved with UNF Pride Club, the UNF LGBTQ Center, or the LGBTQ+ community
 
$500 awarded in two installments ($250 Fall/ $250 Spring)

DCPS Superintendent's Scholarship in Honor of Dr. Andrew Robinson and the Raines High School Class of 1969

  • Meet admission requirements and be accepted by the University of North Florida,
  • Enroll full-time as an undergraduate student, earning at least 12 credit hours in the Fall semester, and 12 credit hours in the Spring semester,
  • Reside in Florida for tuition purposes,
  • Be a graduate of Raines High School with preference given to incoming freshmen, and
  • Be selected by a committee chosen by the Dean of Undergraduate Studies.

LGBTQ Support & Social Group USA

  • Three things needed to enter the LGBTQ college scholarship if you are not in our support group:
  • You must get a letter showing that you are in the LGBTQ community and that you attend an LGBTQ support group. The letter must be signed by the group leader on their letterhead stationery of that support group/organization.
  • You need to pick one of the LGBTQ essay questions. See our LGBTQ Scholarship page for info.
  • You must volunteer at an LGBTQ support group center for a total of 3 hours. Also acceptable will be helping at a pride event. You must have a letter signed showing that you helped at a center/event for the LGBTQ. Again on letterhead stationery of support group/organization.
  • LGBTQ SUPPORT AND SOCIAL GROUP USA – LGBTQ+ College Scholarships SCHOLARSHIP ESSAY 2020 A $500.00 college scholarship will be awarded to an entering college freshman (Fall 2019) that is in the LGBTQ community. The check will be made out to the college with the winning student’s name. A letter will be included explaining the essay contest and scholarship award. Applicants must submit their essay of no less than 1,000 words on or before the 1st Thursday in August (you may feel free to submit it at our regularly scheduled meeting in Clinton that month). The winner will be announced at our September meeting.  If you are in our support group, you must attend meetings and help out at our fund raisers.

  • Which prominent member of the LGBTQ community inspires you most and why?
