Personal Day

  • The personal day is only available to support staff employees.
  • The employee must successfully complete their initial probationary period.
  • One personal day is given each fiscal year. Note: The fiscal year begins on July 1 of the current year, and ends on June 30 of the following year.
  • The personal day must be used by June 30. Note: If a personal day is not used by June 30, it does not roll into the next fiscal year.
  • An employee may be permitted to take unpaid leave in special circumstances. Generally, an employee will be required to exhaust accrued forms of paid leave (annual, sick, personal day, or comp, as applicable) prior to recording unpaid leave.
