Alumni Spotlight

Nikki MacPhee '20
We are always proud when an Osprey chooses to stay active in the alumni community after graduation, and Nikki MacPhee is the definition of staying involved. She graduated in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in English with minors in marketing and leadership and is continuing her education by pursuing a master's degree while working for UNF as an administrative assistant.
"UNF continually provides information and opportunities even after I have graduated," MacPhee said, "With goals to continue my career in the education field, it is important that I stay connected to UNF to be on the cutting edge of innovation and developments in the higher education world so I can create policy that truly benefits our students."
During her time as an undergraduate student, MacPhee had the opportunity to study abroad in Greece and become an orientation leader while being actively involved in the Hicks Honors College and Taylor Leadership Institute while serving as a senator in Student Government. "I was able to grow my leadership skills and help the newest Ospreys transition to life at the nest!" she said.

I am currently a Digital Campaign Manager at Cox Media Group (CMG) on our corporate team. In this role, I oversee digital marketing campaigns for my assigned CMG radio and television markets across the country and assist in fulfillment, performance, and optimization. I previously worked as an Account Manager for the Jacksonville radio market, where I handled radio campaigns across 8 different stations, executed the campaigns as they were sold, and managed the distribution of ad copy. Prior to that, I served as a Local Sales Assistant at CMG for CBS 47 and FOX 30. I started with CMG as a Promotions Coordinator directly after graduating with my B.S. from the University of North Florida in spring 2018. During my time at UNF, I acted as a teaching assistant for the Hicks Honors College and interned with an arena football team - the Jacksonville Sharks - as a multimedia intern. Some key skills I have acquired over my experiences include leadership, attention to detail, customer service, and both creative and professional writing.

I am an MBA candidate in the Yale School of Management’s Class of 2022, where I am focused on building out my business toolkit, particularly as it pertains to data analytics, decision making models, social entrepreneurship, and innovation in the workplace. Post-graduation, I will enter into the consulting profession, helping clients think about their problems and collaborating to identify solutions that transform businesses.
Before Yale SOM I served as the Director of Membership & Communications (2018 - 2020) for the World Affairs Council of Jacksonville, a nonprofit whose mission is to “bring the world closer”. By bringing in technology, policy, geopolitical, and economic experts from across the world, we engaged our community in informative, nonpartisan conversations. I reported directly to the Executive Director & CEO and worked closely with our Board of Directors. These Board members include former U.S. ambassadors, high-ranking military personnel, international journalists and authors, and c-suite executives. I worked on special projects in coordination with the Board and ran our communications, digital content, membership program, young professionals group, and tech systems.
Prior to my time at World Affairs Council of Jacksonville I served as Director of the Lend-A-Wing Food Pantry (2017 - 2018), a student-run on-campus food pantry providing necessities to students with limited financial resources. I accepted this role after serving as Chief of Staff (2017) of the UNF Student Government, before which I served as Director of Public Relations (2016 - 2017) and Marketing Coordinator (2016). Zachary also served as a Honors Facillitator for two years and graduated from the Hicks Honors College.
