  Sanctions:

  • Complete a communication plan regarding how information is disseminated in chapter, scheduling events, and fulfilling sanctions.
  • Theta Chi leadership is required to meet with OFSL Coordinator on a bi-weekly basis to ensure communication plan is effective and appropriately implemented.
  • Disciplinary Probation through Spring 2020 semester.
  • Restricted from Semi/Formal events through 2019-2020 academic year.
  • Restriction from accepting new members until conclusion of membership review and acknowledgement of finalized review by the Dean of Students and the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.
  • Continue to work toward completion of previous sanctions from HQ and UNF.

  Sanctions:

  • Comply with all sanctions outlined from Theta Chi International Fraternity including a membership review.
  • complete all requirements from the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life on a timely basis and participate in required meetings.
  • All members must complete both Hazing Prevention 101: College Edition and Fraternity and Sorority Life modules.
  • All members must attend a Risk Management and University Alcohol Policy workshop prior to sponsoring any events with alcohol.
  • Chapter will coordinate a meeting between the alumni advisory board, Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, and the Dean of Students.
  • Chapter scholarship chair, president, and vice president will meet with the IFC Scholarship chair and Advisor to review the chapter's scholarship plan for the fall semester.
  • Chapter will work collaboratively with the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, IFC, Student Government, and other interested groups to obtain funding for and hosting a presentation on hazing open to the campus during National Hazing Prevention Week.
  • Within 30 days of the membership review, the fraternity will pay all past due assessments owed to the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and any Council.
  • A member of the chapter advisory board must be present to oversee elections of officers for 2020.
  • Disciplinary probation through the end of Spring 2020 semester.
