COMMUNITY EVENING ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM

In the Community Evening English classes, the language is taught with a combined-skills approach. These classes are offered for members of the community, visitors, and business people during convenient evening hours. New students are placed in one of 4 levels of instruction.

At the end of each 12-week semester, students who fulfill the attendance and language proficiency requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion and will be promoted to the next level. When you send an application, the ELP will contact you about a placement test to find the right level / class for you.

Our levels are:

  • Level 1: Beginning
  • Level 2: High-Beginning / Intermediate
  • Level 3: Intermediate / High-Intermediate
  • Level 4: Advanced

Currently, the CEELP is offering in-person and online classes via Zoom. When you make the decision to join in-person or online classes, you must finish the semester that way.

Lessons include:

  • Social conversation
  • Listening activities
  • Grammar
  • Vocabulary / American English Expressions

  • Writing practice
