University System of Florida Johnson Scholarship 2020 – 2021

The Johnson Scholarship, funded by the Johnson Scholarship Foundation, is a competitively awarded program which is available to undergraduate students with disabilities enrolled in a State University System of Florida (SUS) institution.

Please complete the scholarship application through the UNF Academic Works system. You can access the UNF Academic Works system through the Foundation Scholarships website. You will need to sign the Data Consent form. This system will automatically match with you with any eligible scholarships.

2019-2020 DRC-Student Government (SG) Scholarship
Please provide completed application and materials to the SG Business Office.
The deadlines for applications to be submitted to the Student Government Business Office is Monday, September 16, 2019 by 5:00pm.
Award: One recipient will be awarded $1,500, disbursed half in the fall and half in the spring terms.
To be considered please maintain the following;
- Must have a minimum UNF cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Must be an enrolled UNF student with a minimum of 6 undergraduate or 3 graduate credit hours each semester, Fall 2019 and Spring 2020
- Must be registered with the Disability Resource Center
- Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
- Must provide a typed resume and an essay describing how your educational experience at UNF has prepared you for life after college.
As a condition of receiving this award, the recipient cannot receive any other SG Scholarship for this academic year.
As a reminder, please include a completed application page with your packet upon submission to the SG Business & Accounting Office. Once the application deadline has passed, all received applications will be forwarded along to the corresponding departments to make their award decisions.
All applicant essays must adhere to the following format. 1-2 pages,Double-spaced,12 point font, Times New Roman,1-inch margins.

This scholarship is awarded to one
undergraduate student annually. The amount awarded can vary from $2000 up to

Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA), Demonstrate financial need as
defined by the University’s office of Financial Aid, Be registered with and
receiving services from the UNF Disability Resource Center
in at least 6 credit hours each semester and earn a minimum of 12 credits by
the end of each academic year, Maintain a GPA of at least 2.0 for the freshman,
sophomore, junior and senior years, Applicants have been limited to undergraduates,

15th -completed applications are due, Applications must include an unofficial
transcript, a personal statement, and Two (2) letters of recommendation, FASFA information
is verified by Financial Aid and finalists are determined
