Statement to Support Asian American and Pacific Islanders
The Office of Diversity & Inclusion would like to remind students, faculty and staff that one of the things that makes us "Uniquely UNF" is our commitment to cultivating an inclusive and supportive community for every member of our Osprey family. It is disheartening that across the nation, there have been increased reports of discrimination and violence against Asian American and Pacific Islanders. As stated in UNF’s Statement of Unity, we strongly condemn acts of hate and bigotry as antithetical to university values. We stand in support of members of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community.
The Department of Diversity Initiatives, in conjunction with the Asian American Pacific Islanders committee, is planning a discussion to create a space for members of the UNF community to voice their views and show support. This information will be posted on DDI’s web page soon.
If you have witnessed or experienced actions or behavior that are hurtful and/or harmful report it using the bias incident reporting form. In addition, the UNF Victim Advocacy Program is available 24 hours a day at (904) 620-1010 to provide confidential support services to members of the UNF community who experience harassment, threats or violence.
