We are excited to share a list of Apple and Android Apps you may enjoy or find useful.

 

The University of North Florida (UNF) Counseling Center endorses the Safe Ospreys App only, as it is the only app listed below that was developed and is maintained by UNF.

 

Most of these apps are free, however, some are available for a fee and/or offer In-App purchases. For more information or to download these apps, click the links below. We encourage you to consider the following guidelines in order to make an informed decision about which apps to try:

  • Look for and review app's the privacy policy
  • Seek and review any evidence or research that supports the app
  • Look for and read any independent reviews of the app
  • Consider how easy it is to use
  • Keep in mind an app should not replace professional care

PTSD Coach was designed for those who have, or may have, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This app provides you with education about PTSD, information about professional care, a self-assessment for PTSD, opportunities to find support, and tools that can help you manage the stresses of daily life with PTSD. Tools range from relaxation skills and positive self-talk to anger management and other common self-help strategies. You can customize tools based on your preferences and can integrate your own contacts, photos, and music. This app can be used by people who are in treatment as well as those who are not.

It is for 11-25 year olds who have been bereaved of someone important to them. It can also be used by friends, teachers, parents and professionals who would like to know how to support bereaved young people.
