Submitted by the Academic Programs Committee

College of Computing Engineering and Construction (Undergraduate) – (Construction Management & School of Engineering/Civil Engineering):

New Course & Programs of Study changes (3 packages)

11/07/19: Passed

11/22/19: Approved

Log Number: 201908-36

Construction Management - Undergraduate

Change a degree-major-concentration of an existing program

Bachelor of Science - Building Construction Major

Concentration: Commercial Construction

Summary of the changes:

In an effort to move total hours to degree down to 120 total credits, The Construction Management Department is proposing that the CM degree will no longer require the minor in business. Remove FIN3403 Financial Management from the required courses and move it to the elective section for Building Construction Majors in the Residential Track(students can still take Business Administration minor as an option). This action, along with the recent rearranging of the General Education, reduces the CM degree from 126 to 120 credit hours. We are also moving the Residential Construction courses to the required courses section and removing and adding courses as options for an upper-level elective for students in the residential track.
