Change a degree-major of an existing program

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering - Electrical Engineering Major

 Summary of the changes:

The EE Program is updating its BSEE Curriculum by making the following changes:

  • Adding a statement to the list of approved technical elective courses allowing students to take no more than 6 credit hours of classes from physics, mathematics, computing or mechanical engineering at either the 3000 or 4000 level to count as technical elective hours
  • Changing the number of credit hours for EEL 4915 (Senior Capstone Design II) from 3 to 4 in order to be consistent with the amount of work required of students in the course. The extra credit hour for the course is being freed up by moving EEL 4712L (Digital Design Lab) from a core course to a technical elective course.
  • Moving EEL 4714 (Digital Design) and EEL 4712L (Digital Design Lab) from a Core Requirement to a Technical Elective
  • Updating the list of approved technical electives for the degree
  • Editing list of technical electives so that the format is consistent with the rest of the degree program

The total credit hours required for the degree remains unchanged at 128.
