Item 1 Call to Order and Welcome to New Members 

Chair Dawkins will call the meeting to order and welcome new members.

Item 2 Approval of Minutes (May 16, 2017)

Chair Dawkins will ask for motion to approve the minutes.

Item 3 Update - 2017 HEED Award Application 

Chair Dawkins will update Commission members on the 2017 Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award application.

Item 4 Campus Climate Survey 

CODI will have an ad hoc subcommittee that will conduct our next survey.

Item 5 Faculty Minority Recruitment

Chair Dawkins will speak about UNF’s participation as an exhibitor and recruiter in minority faculty recruitment conferences for 2017.

Item 6 2016 Faculty Research Award Public Talks

Chair Dawkins and Alison Cruess will provide an update on the 2016 Faculty Research Award public talks, which occurred June 21, 2017.

Item 7 Diversity Scorecard

Alison Cruess will speak about the newly developed Diversity Scorecard. 

Item 8 Update - Difference Appreciation

Alison Cruess will provide an update on the Difference Appreciation initiative and discuss the Train the Trainer workshop.  

Item 9 CODI's Involvement in UNF's Week of Welcome

Alison Cruess will discuss CODI’s involvement in UNF’s Week of Welcome.  

Item 10 Next CODI Meeting

Alison Cruess will propose dates for CODI’s September 2017 meeting: 

  • September 14, Thursday – 2:00 to 3:30
  • September 19, Tuesday – 2:00 to 3:30
  • September 21, Thursday – 2:00 to 3:30

Item 11 CODI's Presence on Other Campus Webpages

Alison will discuss CODI’s web presence on campus-wide webpages. She will also propose that a link be added to UNF’s homepage to include Equal Opportunity and Diversity, CODI, and the Department of Diversity Initiatives.  

Item 12 Announcements from the Commission

Alison Cruess will ask Commission members if they have any announcements.
