Center for International Business Studies

The Center for International Business Studies (CIBS) is the research arm of the International Business Flagship Program. CIBS offers faculty development opportunities, promotes campus internationalization initiatives, and hosts an annual conference on international business for theorists and practitioners in Northeast Florida and abroad.

Research & Conferences

The internationalization of the Coggin College of Business begins with a faculty that exhibits strong teaching credentials and outstanding scholarly work in the international business field. Coggin College of Business faculty are writing and teaching about the international aspects of accounting, economics, finance, logistics, management and marketing. These faculty are recognized through their affiliations with the Center for International Business Studies.

Conferences and Workshops

The interface of faculty scholarship and practitioner expertise is a key part of the International Business Flagship program. Our most recent conference, Value Creation in the Global Economy, was a great success. Now we are excited to host our first annual International Business Workshop Series and certificate program. For workshop dates and topics, visit our workshop page.

Peter.Denyer.headshot   Peter Denyer, BA
Advisor for Faculty-Led and Summer Study Abroad, International Business
After studying abroad in Bilbao, Spain while living with a host family and completing his degree in International Relations at California State University, Chico, Peter received his TEFL Certificate and moved back full time to Bilbao as an English Teacher. During his time living in Bilbao, he improved his Spanish, although not fluent, and even learned some of the basic words in Euskara, the local Basque language. Peter grew up in the Bay Area in California as a tri-citizen (United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom) hosting international students from around the world. Moving to Jacksonville and entering the field of international higher-education to help UNF students study abroad and assisting international students at UNF makes his international experience go full circle. He has traveled to Canada, Mexico, Spain, France, England, Germany, Belgium, Italy, and the Czech Republic. Agur!
