I think everyone should give study abroad a chance and not let money or doubt be the problem, because you will grow more in knowledge and as a person. I met a lot of great people out there in China and I am looking forward to the day I get to go back." If you want to learn more about Jamie's time in China, check out her blog

Coggin-In Payment Process

About the Student Cost

Each Coggin-In study abroad has costs associated with the products and services that are part of the program, including student lodging, business/cultural visits, entry fees, international health insurance, t-shirts, etc. In order to ensure the best rates (and thus the lowest cost for students!) we must sometimes pay hotel or other deposits up to nine months in advance of travel. However, we try to spread the student payments over two semesters so that the entire program fee is not due at the time of application. This allows students to begin saving and researching other sources of funding prior to making these payments.

Payment Timeline

Once your complete application has been submitted via myWings, and you have completed your interview and been approved, you are considered a participant in your chosen program. The first study abroad charge of $500 will be posted to your account within a couple of days with a due date of December 6. If payment is not received by the due date, it becomes a financial hold. The second study abroad charge of $1000 will be posted to your account in Mid-January, with a due date of February 7. In late-February, the remainder of your program fee (program cost minus $1500) will be posted to your account with a due date of April 3 for May, June, July travel.

First Payment

  • $500 charge posted upon acceptance
  • Due December 6

Second Payment

  • $1000 charge posted in mid-January
  • Due February 7

Third Payment

  • Remaining balance (program cost minus $1500) charge posted in late February
  • Due April 3 for May, June, July travel

All charges above are nonrefundable and may be paid via myWings or at UNF Student Financial Services in Hicks Hall. For additional payment or withdrawal information, refer to the Coggin-In Study Abroad Policies.
