De Montfort University Application Process
Step 1: Submit the following items directly to the Coggin Study Abroad Office (Building 10, Room 2125) not to the exchange partner or other UNF offices:
DEADLINE: March 15 for fall semester or full academic year
Step 2: Your study abroad advisor will sent your nomination to DMU. Soon after, DMU will send an email with instructions to apply online. Students must submit the following documents to their online application for DMU:
- Copy of valid passport
- UNF transcripts
- Module Choice Form
- Supporting Statement
DEADLINE: May 1 for fall semester or full academic year
De Montfort University Academics
The fall semester (Term One) runs from mid-September to mid-December; the spring semester (Term Two) runs from the beginning of January to the beginning of April. View the 2019-2020 term dates.
Note: Students can only study at DMU for the fall semester or full academic year. Students cannot study at DMU for the spring semester only.

De Montfort University Housing & Cost
All exchange students at DMU are guaranteed accommodation at the Liberty Court halls of residence (close to campus) if students complete their application before the given deadline. All of the halls are self-catered and fully furnished, offering shared kitchens, laundry facilities and internet access. With on-site or on-call security, halls also have on-site managers, CCTV and/or electronic door entry systems. The price of accommodation is likely to range from £118 to £130 per week for an en suite room.
Note: students are responsible for finding their own housing if they choose not to find housing through DMU.
UNF students participating in a Coggin semester exchange program will pay UNF tuition. Students will be responsible for all other expenses (i.e. flight, meals, housing, etc.). To see an estimated cost for one semester at DMU, please see the estimated cost documents below.
