S.T.A.R. Program (Skills to Achieve Results)
The S.T.A.R. Program is a professional development program designed specifically for Coggin College of Business students. The program’s focus is on helping students advance their careers through the development of employability and networking skills.
To become S.T.A.R. Certified, students must complete all 5 STARS; this can be done over the course of multiple semesters. Student interested in participating in the S.T.A.R. Program should first create an account in Osprey Career Link, UNF's online job opportunity and career events system. Once an account is created, students can register for S.T.A.R. Workshops and InterviewPRO and take advantage of all the career related opportunities in the system.
Students who have completed the S.T.A.R. Program will receive:
- A certificate of completion
- A S.T.A.R. pin, which you should wear to recruiting events
- A Coggin gift
- Invited to attend the S.T.A.R. ceremony & networking event, which is held at the end of every semester for newly certified students

S.T.A.R. 1 | Résumé Writing Workshop
Learn how to create or fine-tune a business résumé, draft executive cover letters and plan your job search
S.T.A.R. 2 | Interviewing & Job Search Workshop
Interviewing for Success: An overview of the interviewing process including preperation strategies, common interview questions and what to do after the interview.
S.T.A.R. 3 | Résumé Critique
Have your résumé reviewed by a CMC staff member in the Career Management Center.
S.T.A.R. 4 | Upload Critiqued Résumé to Osprey CareerLink
Once your résumé has been professionally critiqued, upload it to Osprey Career Link under the "My Profile => My documents" tab.
S.T.A.R. 5 | Mock Interview
Participate in a mock interview, a practice interview, with a representative from the Jacksonville business community who will provide you with feedback on your performance.
