Mock Interviews
Practice your interviewing skills with local recruiters and HR professionals by registering for a Mock Interview in Handshake (available under the "Jobs=>On Campus Interview" tab). Interviews are 30 minutes and include personalized feedback and suggestions for improvement. Space is limited, so register for your Mock Interview early. Career Counseling
30-Minute Career Counseling Appointments are available Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m by calling (904) 620-JOBS (5627) to schedule an appointment. These appointments are best for critiquing résumés, or exploring questions about career/internship/job search, mock interviews, salary negotiation, and graduate school exploration.
On-Campus Interviewing
On-Campus Interviewing allows you to connect with employers and various opportunities without having to leave campus. All interviews take place in the Coggin Career Management Center.
Coggin Career Readiness Program
Coggin Career Readiness Program is a three step, professional development certification program designed to improve the employability skills of business majors and minors. All three steps can be completed in any order, and opportunities to complete this program are available every term. To learn more, or to register, visit our Career Readiness Program page.
Internships

The purpose of the Career Management Center is to help equip students with the skills necessary to land a job or internship themselves while providing a platform for students and employers to meet. With that said, the Career Management Center staff does not directly place students into job openings.

Ideally, we recommend having your résumé reviewed once every academic year. Additionally, your résumé should be updated and reviewed after accepting a new job/internship, completing a study abroad or becoming an active member in an extracurricular organization.

There are many ways to build a more robust resume. Some of the common methods include: becoming an active member of an organization, participating in a study abroad, completing an internship/landing a part-time job, conducting an independent study or volunteering in the community. Students should also consider the Coggin Career Readiness Program, Coggin Peer to Career Mentors and Coggin Executive Mentors programs as well.

A mock interview allows students the opportunity to interview and interact with a member of the Jacksonville business community in one of many professional fields. The interview typically lasts 30 minutes, with a feedback form filled out by the employer, evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of the student.

As a professional courtesy, students are expected to show up for their scheduled interviews. Unless an emergency, notice given less than 48 hours in advance of a scheduled interview is not acceptable. Time slots fill quickly and we often have a wait-listed group, so if you must cancel please do so in advance.

Yes! We assist all students enrolled in the Coggin College of Business in both graduate and undergraduate programs.

For up to one year after graduation, all service provided by the Career Management Center are free to alums. After one year past graduation, there is a nominal fee for one-on-one appointments with the Career Management Staff. For more information and a fee schedule, contact us via email:
