Job Posting and Handshake
Thank you for your interest in recruiting Coggin College of Business students for positions with your organization. One of the most effective ways to recruit applicants for your open positions is to post them on Handshake, UNF's online management system for job listings and career related events registration. All UNF students and alumni registered within the Handshake system can view online job opportunities and indicate an interest in your job posting.

Handshake Overview
- Post a part-time or full-time job or internship
- Post a work-study job
- Schedule Interviews with students who wish to join your company/organization

Registering on Handshake
Visit Handshake's New Employer Registration page - below are a few thoughts to get you started.

Register: Fill out the registration form and "Sign Up". You will be asked to enter your recruiting interests and alma mater, agree to the Employer Guidelines, Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Verify: Handshake will send you a certification email to the email you provided. Upon receiving the email, verify your account by clicking "Confirm Email".

Connect with Your Company: After verifying your email, if your company already exists within the system, Handshake should prompt you to connect with your organization. You can also search for your company or click the "Create New Company" button.

Connect with UNF: Use the search bar to find "University of North Florida" and click the "+" to connect with us.

Confirmation: Your connection will be reviewed by UNF's Career Services staff. Once reviewed, you will receive a confirmation email notifying that you are now connected with UNF.
Posting a Job on Handshake
Once you are connected with UNF, you will be able to post your job listing. To learn more about the job listing process, review Handshake's instructions and read below.

Post a Job: Log into Handshake and click "Post a Job", located on your home dashboard. You will be asked to provide information regarding the job basics, details and preferences.
*Note: According to UNF's recruitment policies, we will not approve job postings that require financial investment on the part of our students/alumni nor will we approve posting that pay 100% commission.

School Selection: On the left side of the screen, you will be able to add schools. Click the "+" next to "University of North Florida" to add UNF.

Create: Choose "Create" on the bottom navigation to create and review your job posting.

Confirmation: Your job post will be reviewed by UNF Career Services Staff. Once reviewed you will receive a confirmation email notifying that the position will be posted and available to UNF students and alumni.

to create an effective profile for your company.
*Note: If you have not registered for Handshake yet, you will need to create a user account before you can create a new company profile.

If you have left the company you're currently connected to on Handshake and joined a new company, you should create a new account with your new company email address. You can log out of your current account and then follow this guide to make a new account.
If you are still with the same company, but somehow connected to the wrong company profile, you can follow these steps to disconnect your profile and join a new company.

The Career Management Center is interested in providing all possible employment opportunities to our students, therefore we will work with and provide services to selected employment agencies who meet UNF approval and agree to comply with the following policies and procedures established by the Career Management Center: Third Party Recruiting Agreement.
The Third Party Recruiting Agreement must be signed and returned to the Career Management Center before the agency is permitted to use Handshake.
