Interview on Campus

The Coggin Career Management Center makes it easy for employers to fill their hiring needs with the University of North Florida’s diverse and highly talented business students. Interviewing on campus allows employers to connect with students and increase visibility on campus. This is also a convenient option for employers to conduct all full-time, part-time and internship position interviews at UNF. 

On-Campus Interviews

On-Campus Interviews occur every Fall and Spring semester in the Coggin Career Management Center.  We offer interview rooms to accommodate employers interviewing on campus and our friendly staff aids throughout the entire process.

Schedule On-Campus interviews: 

  1. Login to Handshake and click Interviews in the left navigation bar.
  2. Click “Request Interview Schedule” tab in the upper right corner.
  3. Fill out the form with the interview information
  4. Choose the University of North Florida and the Coggin Career Management Center as the location where you will host your interviews.
  5. Select the timeline of the interview.
  6. Choose the job you would like to attach the interview schedule to.
  7. Your request will then be processed by the Coggin Career Management Center within two business days.

On-Campus Interview Details:

  1. The schedule will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. 
  2. The Career Management Center provides the Employer/Interviewer with an interview room for their scheduled date and time.
  3. Employers/Interviewers are responsible for managing their interview schedules and process which can be done via Handshake.  
  4. If an interview is managed outside of Handshake, please email your interview schedule to coggin.careers@unf.edu at least 24 hours before the interview date.
  5. Parking information along with the parking code will be sent to the employer 48-72 hours in advance of the mock interviews

Mock Interviews

A Mock Interview is a practice interview for UNF Students conducted by volunteer employers and recruiters. The role of the mock interviewer is to provide critical feedback on students interviewing skills and advise them on ways to improve interview performance.

Register for a Mock Interview:

We are now seeking volunteers for our Spring 2020 schedule. For more information on scheduling your interviews, contact us at coggin.careers@unf.edu.

Mock Interview Details:

  1. The schedule will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  2. Interviews will take place in the fall semester (October- November) and the spring semester (March - April).
  3. The interviews are scheduled from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on each date.  We have found this time frame is the most popular time for students to participate in the Career Readiness Mock Interviews. 
  4. Each interview is scheduled for 30 minutes. The first interview will begin at 1:00 p.m. and the last interview will begin at 3:30 p.m. and conclude at 4:00 p.m.  A full interview schedule will have 6 student participants.
  5. We provide the volunteer interviewer with an interview room, recommended interview questions, and the interview feedback form.
  6. The Coggin Career Management Center manages the student sign-up process for the Mock Interviews as well as the student check-in process the day of the interviews.
  7. Parking information along with the parking code will be sent to the employer 48-72 hours in advance of the mock interviews.
