Welcome Students!

Coggin Career Week proudly welcomes you to attend the upcoming Finance & Financial Planning student/employer networking mixer. With roughly 15 employers hiring students for internship and full-time roles, students pursuing career paths related to finance, financial planning, insurance, and banking are sure to find great career opportunities. Freshmen through graduate students are encouraged to attend to meet-n-mingle with top employers.

Partnering Coggin Student Clubs

The Finance and Financial Planning mixer is hosted by a number of Coggin student organizations. All the Coggin student clubs below support this networking mixer and strongly promote attendance to their members:

  • The Osprey Financial Group (OFG)
  • The Finance and Investment Society (FIS)
  • The UNF Financial Planning Association
  • The Economics Society

Mixer Format

This is not a traditional tabeling career fair; it’s a high-end recruitment networking event catering to students looking for career opportunities in finance, banking, and insurance. Employers will mingle around their designated high-cocktail table and students can freely meet-n-mingle, come and go as they please. Employer logos are displayed on all tables so students can easily identify attending employers.

Event Details

  • Ideal Students to Attend. Any UNF student freshmen through senior, graduate student, or UNF alumni interested in meeting-and-mingling with top finance, financial planning, insurance, and banking companies about career opportunities.
  • No R.S.V.P. Needed. Simply show up in professional dress and network, meet employers, and expand your professional network!
  • Dress Code. Business professional dress is preferred, business casual minimum for entrance. This is an employer networking event; dress to impress!
  • What to Bring. UNF ID card and multiple copies of your updated resume.
  • Positions Available. All companies were encouraged to post positions of recruitment in Handshake. Please visit the UNF Handshake website to learn about available company positions.
  • If you need accommodations for the mixer, please contact the Coggin Career Management Center at 904-620-2067, or, five business days before the event to enable us to provide you a reasonable accommodations for the event.

  • Practice Your Elevator Pitch. Before arrival, rehearse your self-introduction and practice speaking confidently about your experiences on your resume.
  • Mingle with Employers. Challenge yourself to meet new employers and remain open to companies you may not have heard of. Employers are here to meet you!
