UK Summer A 2024

This interdisciplinary program will be open to students across a range of majors but will be tailored to the following areas of study: teacher education (to include special education), school counseling and educational leadership, school psychology, psychology, and social work. The experience is matched to two corresponding courses at UNF--one in Education and one in Psychology (the latter of which is also appropriate for Social Work). The Education course will be variable credits (1-3 credits) while the Psychology course will be three (3) credits.  Participants will spend time in four UK cities and take seminar courses at our respective partner universities in two of those cities (Middlesbrough and Chester). In these two cities, students will also be placed in "field" settings within their respective disciplines. In their field placements, participants will observe professionals in their field performing work across diverse settings and in UK contexts (for comparisons and contrasts to systems in the US). The trip will be "bookended" by visits to Edinburgh and London.
