TEACHING
I have taught a variety of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, with special emphasis on elementary and secondary science education; action research (face to face and online); science, technology, and society; and graduate level research; taught Science, Technology, and Society and Introduction to Brain and Behavior in the SUS London Study program in 1988, using London historical settings and museums; emphasize inquiry learning, research findings on how science is learned, links to community settings, and appropriate uses of instructional technology. I incorporated electronic components and networking into the undergraduate and graduate Secondary Science Methods courses, the action research course, and the graduate Foundations of Educational Research course.
My research interests include elucidation of contexts and conditions (social, psychological, and multicultural) that enhance teaching and learning and action research facilitation.
