Overview

The mission of the Deaf Education program is to prepare teachers and other professionals to work with deaf or hard of hearing students in a variety of educational settings. Like all teacher education programs in UNF’s College of Education and Human Services, our conceptual framework includes five pillars: inquiry, social justice, collaboration, reflection, and the whole learner.  This framework is the foundation of our coursework which addresses Multilingual, Total Communication, and Listening and Spoken Language philosophies, approaches, methods, and strategies.
