Biomedical Pre-Professional Frequently Asked Questions
Biomedical Pre-Professional Program
What must I major in to get in a medical professional school?
Medical professional schools accept students with a broad range of majors. UNF does not advocate any particular major as the best preparation.
What courses must I complete to qualify for the Biomedical Pre-Professional Program?
None. The UNF Biomedical Pre-Professional Program is not an academic program. There are academic prerequisites. The UNF Biomedical Pre-Professional Program concentrates on advising and support for students seeking medical careers.
How do I become a part of the one of the student organizations?
Attend a meeting to see what the clubs are all about, and ask one of officers about joining the club. Or come by the Biomedical Pre-Professionals office (Building 59, Room 3300) to find out more about the clubs and sign up. Additional information is available on the Student organizations webpage.
Does the Post-Baccalaureate Program accept international students?
Yes, international students are accepted into the Post-Baccalaureate Program who are permanent residents or have an F-1 visa.
How long does the Post-Baccalaureate Program take to complete?
The Post-Baccalaureate Program length varies for each student. Total time required to finish the program depends on the number of classes needed and the student's personal schedule. Our program is not formally structured such that all students begin and end together. Each student's curricula is tailored to meet his or her needs.
Can I take premedical professional prerequisite classes at UNF without being in the Post-Baccalaureate Program?
Yes, you can.
How do I apply to the Post-Baccalaureate Program?
Please see our
page with all the instructions for application.
What are the costs for the Post-Baccalaureate Program?
Please see UNF's
for charges per credit hour. Aside from the $15 application fee, there is no cost for the Post-Bac Program.
Am I eligible for financial aid?

Financial Aid page
